At the Starters’ Level, children will begin to acquire the basic knowledge in Chinese and work towards understanding basic characters. At this stage, we focus on using various strategies to develop the children’s love for Chinese.

The programme is designed to stimulate the children’s interest in Chinese and prepare them for primary school education.

Our curriculum includes:

1. Recognising Basic Chinese Characters.
2. Articulating in Chinese in their daily lives.
3. Develop critical thinking skills in Chinese.

The methods include:

1. Visual/ Spatial: Use of Handicraft/Colors.
2. Musical and rhythms: Use of Children’s Songs.
3. Vocabulary learning through flashcards and interactive educational tools.

By K2, children will be taught the entire P1 Hanyu Pinyin school syllabus, so they get early exposure to it for a stronger foundation.

For preschool levels, our Foundation Chinese Programme covers a mix of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills based on our students’ age.
